Chapter 17 – The Allied Front Line is Getting Close (Eschweiler, Germany)
Whilst hiding in the mountains, he is told to return to the farm to get some fur boots. On his way back, he is challenged by a German, thinks he is about to be shot, only to turn round to find the soldier has been killed by a stray bullet.
